The 1999 Family Preparedness Fair "'Spring' Into Action" was well attended and all who visited learned more about the different aspects of how our community and families are preparing.

As we were planning this "Fair" it became somewhat unique.  First, we noticed that most of the folks helping didn't want to cover dehydrating or canning.  What they wanted were ideas on on how to make blankets or tie quilts, sewing and spinning (we had volunteers that demonstrated these techniques).   Family History ideas and use of the Family History Center seemed to be important.  Menu planning ideas for helping young families or those on budgets to begin their long term food storage were stressed during the planning meetings.  So we added these areas of focus.  You can access the PDF pages and gather the information that was given.
